The day after we finished the Camino mom and I flew back to Madrid. We got one last meal with mama and papa and did some shopping, then said goodbye to Annette. We cried saying goodbye to Jack and struggled hard to find a taxi to the airport. It felt sad and tired a little bit (and maybe a bit hungover). We ate one last traditional meal in Madrid and shared one last drink with our friend Nikki.
It was nice to say goodbye to all our friends at different times instead of one overwhelming goodbye. I’m so grateful for my whole time in Europe from traveling with new and old friends to walking the Camino.
Thanks to all for your prayers and prayer intentions. I enjoyed praying for you all and writing each night. Hopefully you enjoyed following along, I enjoyed having you.
Continue to pray for me and I’ll do the same for you.
Buen Camino
