Day 10: Venice to Zurich

We all woke up so tired this morning from lack of sleep. We rushed to get all of our things together and get out of the Airbnb in time for the designated check out.

We then walked down the street with all of our bags in tow. We ended at a little restaurant that had a travelers menu and ate spaghetti, grilled chicken, and French fries for breakfast. Interesting options but it was fine. Brooke and I left the boys to watch our stuff and pay for breakfast and went to the grocery store to stock up on snacks and basic groceries for Zurich to save some money. Then we took a water bus back to the train station and sat for about an hour waiting for our train.

The train is nice, I'm still sitting in it now. We have 4 seats all facing one another, and it's decently comfortable. It's been fantastic to see the views that the train has offered. Lake Como was beautiful as well as the mountains and villages in Switzerland. We're all excited to see Joe again! We should be there by 10.... we'll see. I'll have to finish up the post then :)

We made it! We ate some authentic Swiss food (burger king) and then Joe gave us a tour of his apartment. We are so excited to sleep in after a long day of travel.

Notables/highlights:

• Brooke winked at a flirty scooter boy at the train station

• For some reason every morning I wake up with a song in my head. I usually sign it so much throughout the day that everyone has it stuck and their head and we all sing it all day long. The past 2 days the song has been "We built this city on Rock and Roll"
